Centrally located to all, Goldens Bridge offers open space, beautiful homes and a close knit community, all within striking distance to Manhattan. A part of the Town of Lewisboro, the state of the art train station makes commuting a snap and this small town is just far enough north to insure that you get a seat for the entire ride into the city. Recent renovations to the station and the adjacent lots guarantee parking for all residents as well as day parking for guests.
Near the train station is the Parks and Recreation Building where residents secure tennis permits for the many town courts, sign up for yoga or cooking classes or
register their children for the town summer camp.
Across the street from the train station is the A & P Plaza, where everything from the town post office to Portofino Restaurant is located. When the restaurant closes for two weeks in the summertime to give their employees a well-earned rest, eating in the town stops. The giant slices of pie, prepared to order with a variety of home styled toppings are famous for miles around. Baskin Robbins serves as the local coffee spot and the Goldens Bridge Wine and Liquor Shop carries an amazing selection of wine and spirits and the shop owner will glady locate and fill your request for that special single malt scotch.
Fox Valley Park is equipped with four town tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields and a secluded parking lot where parents have been seen teaching their teenagers to drive. This is just one of many town parks located throughout Lewisboro and offers summer sports programs that the children in town take full advantage of. An easy 55 minute commute into Manhattan, Goldens Bridge residents can live an urban lifestyle by day, but come home at night to a peaceful life with many parks, hiking trails and horse farms dotting the countryside.
